Hello,

I would like to inform you that the Article content type in eLearning is designed for text-based lessons that are created directly using the Edit option.

Since the Article is intended for written content on the website, there is no direct upload option. If you need to provide learners with files (PDFs, documents, slides, etc.), you should use the Document content type instead.

Alternatively, if you still want to include a file within an Article, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Select the course and click the Go to Website smart button.

  2. At the top-right corner, click Edit.

  3. Write the article’s content and use the Media option to upload the document.

In Odoo 17 eLearning, the 'Article' content type is designed for text-based learning materials, which is why you might not see an option to upload a file directly as you would for other content types like 'Document' or 'Video'. Here's how you can effectively use the Article content type:



  1. Navigate to the eLearning module and select the course you wish to add content to.

  2. Click on 'Add Content' and choose 'Article' from the content type options.

  3. Instead of uploading a file, you'll be provided with a rich text editor. Here, you can directly type your content or paste it from another source. This editor supports text formatting, embedding images, and even inserting links to external resources.

  4. If you need to reference documents or files within your article, consider uploading those files to a document management system or cloud storage and providing links within your article's text.
