From a small rented house in Tanah Kusir, Bushido Bintari (Dori) founded Ann’s Bakehouse & Creamery in 2014, continuing her parents’ bakery business.
Together with her close friend, she took the bold step of reviving her mother’s legacy. From personally delivering cakes, sleeping in the kitchen, and taking only a fraction of the shop’s income, Dori went through it all.
That journey has now led to a new challenge: how to keep the business running smoothly while orders keep flooding in.
Orders surged, but the system struggled 🚧

Ann’s Bakehouse & Creamery saw steady order growth year after year. At first, things were manageable using WhatsApp. But as order volumes skyrocketed, overwhelming is such an understatement.
Trying out various software, even trying to build one
They tried everything, different platforms like MileApp and Moka POS, and even attempted to build their own ERP system by hiring an in-house IT team. The investment in both time and money was enormous.
But the homemade system didn’t work as planned:
- Online and offline orders weren’t connected to the kitchen, warehouse, or Quality Control Delivery Team (QCD).
 - Internal teams lacked a strong database infrastructure to support daily operations.
 - Tech costs ballooned from managing too many disconnected platforms.

The conclusion was clear: Ann’s needed a stronger backbone, a single system to unify data and operations.
The Solution: Odoo as the Control Center

In 2023, Ann’s Bakehouse & Creamery officially switched to Odoo, supported by a 200-hour Success Pack. The first step was stabilizing the foundation with core modules: Sales, Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchase, and Accounting.
Once the basics were in place, Ann’s expanded into Website and eCommerce. The result? A smoother experience for both customers and the internal team.

What set Ann’s apart was their willingness to fully embrace Odoo’s flexibility.
Together with Odoo Functional Consultant Elvin, the in-house tech team successfully implemented and maintained over 3,700 lines of custom code. Such a proof of their serious commitment to digital transformation.
For Ann’s, Odoo has saved more than money

Today, Ann’s Bakehouse & Creamery continues its Odoo journey with Odoo partner PT Data Total Rapih (Dattora). From the initial implementation with Odoo’s team to ongoing improvements with Dattora, the positive changes are clear:
Dramatically improved visibility & smoother workflows
No more running around to check stock or production status. Now, everything from production, inventory, and orders to reporting is connected in one system.
Data-driven decisions
Stock, purchases, promotions, and pricing decisions are now based on accurate, real-time data, reducing risks and protecting margins.
Margin control made easy
Even when sourcing from multiple vendors at varying prices, Odoo automatically calculates COGS per SKU, helping Ann’s maintain healthy margins.
Better communication inside & out
A lot of Ann’s orders come via WhatsApp. With Odoo, the CS team can directly log those orders into the system and track customer purchase history.
Internally, features like lognotes and Kanban boards make collaboration smoother. Teams can share updates, add notes, and track progress in real time, keeping both internal and customer communication clear.
Tech cost going down by 70%
Ann's used to spend heavily on building their very own system and do repetitive work across multiple software.
Now, everything’s done in Odoo. As a result, Ann’s Bakehouse & Creamery has saved money, time, and effort, allowing Ann’s team to focus on what truly matters.
Next Stop: Growth Mode 💪
Ann’s Bakehouse & Creamery isn’t stopping here. With Odoo continuously rolling out features tailored for Indonesian businesses, Ann’s is ready to scale further.
They’ve expanded capacity by opening new branches, integrating Shopee into their Odoo system for seamless online sales, and are preparing to centralize their marketing, WhatsApp included, on Odoo.
All of this shows that digital transformation isn’t just a trend, it’s a necessity for growth. With Odoo and partner Dattora, Ann’s now has a solid, efficient backbone ready to take the business to the next level.
