They utilize the "price list" feature on the Sales app for discounts to return and upfront-paying customers and customize purchase orders (POs) for specific requirements. Before Odoo, tracking time off was done manually on paper, making it difficult to see the big picture and effectively manage resources, especially during peak seasons. With Odoo, "we can see how resources are allocated right away," claims Thanatat. Staffing adjustments to redistributing work and offering overtime or flexible shifts can be made within the system as the demand changes throughout the year.

The cloud ERP also helps Organics Buddy to seamlessly transition to flexible work arrangements with all operations computed online. According to the co-founder, "Even before the global pandemic, I wanted to be able to work anywhere, be it at the office or home. It's important to me personally."

3. Localized Features & Capabilities

Thanatat highlights Odoo's localized accounting features as a significant benefit for managing Organics Buddy in Thailand, a country with complex accounting regulations.

The Odoo Accounting app simplifies compliance by automatically generating the necessary accounting data for official forms like PND3 (ภงด.3) and PND53 (ภงด.53) personal and corporate withholding tax certificates, as well as VAT reports. This functionality has significantly reduced the workload, replacing the tasks of a team of five with a single Odoo module.

The online accounting software extracts all cash receipts and disbursements from the Sales and Inventory apps in real-time for day-to-day bookkeeping. By simply updating the in-pay status, the sales team frees up the finance team's time, while the accounting app enhances efficiency through smart reconciliation.
