Established in Milan in 2021 by Tomaso Torriani (CEO), Alberto Cisco (CCO), and Andrea Cipollone (COO), Movopack produces reusable packaging for e-commerce, offering a sustainable and circular solution that can be reused up to 20 times before being recycled. Thanks to a smart reverse logistics system, customers can easily return packaging through any mailbox in Europe, reducing CO₂ emissions by 84%, energy consumption by 80%, and water usage by 76%.

The challenges
Movopack’s innovation goes beyond the product itself—the startup had to build an entire logistics ecosystem to support its reusable packaging model. Early on, Movopack faced several operational hurdles:
- no centralized system for managing production, orders, accounting, or reverse logistics
- difficulty tracking the full lifecycle of packaging, essential for ensuring sustainability
- fragmented processes mainly handled through Excel, increasing the risk of errors and inefficiencies
As demand grew and their network of clients and partners expanded, adopting a single platform to centralize, automate, and streamline all core operations became essential.
Choosing Odoo: flexibility and scalability for a growing startup
After evaluating several ERP solutions—including Salesforce and other custom-built softwares—Movopack chose Odoo for its flexibility and ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a scaling company.

- manage orders and reverse logistics, simplifying recovery and sanitation of packages
- centralize accounting ops, making what was once a fragmented process much simpler and more efficient

While there were some initial challenges adapting to Odoo’s structure and workflows, Movopack is already planning more custom upgrades to further optimize the system and enable future scalability.
