With over 30 years leading the field of occupational hygiene in Colombia, CRP has taken a decisive step toward digital transformation by integrating Odoo into its operations. Thanks to this platform, the company has optimized its key processes, improved the efficiency of its technical team, and made strategic decisions based on reliable, real-time data.
CRP is a firm specialized in occupational hygiene, a branch of health aimed at preventing occupational diseases through diagnoses, scientific evaluations, and rigorous measurements. Its work consists of identifying and assessing chemical contaminants, mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic energy, and other hygiene risks, using high-tech instruments to ensure safer work environments.
With a presence in Bogotá, the Caribbean Coast, Antioquia, and Valle del Cauca, CRP has established itself as the leading company in its sector. The company not only complies with legal requirements but also seeks to generate value for its clients by providing useful information for decision-making that directly impacts productivity and organizational well-being.
"We want occupational hygiene not to be seen as an expense or a requirement, but as a strategic tool that brings real value to companies."

The Challenges of a Growing Operation
Before adopting Odoo, CRP faced the challenge of efficiently managing its growing operations. The company had moved from working with simple Excel sheets to using tools like Conex, an internal solution focused on special projects with clients such as the Corona group or Drummond’s coal mines.

Later, they adopted a Spanish platform hosted on local servers and then used Colabora, a network of engineers that allowed them to structure projects based on shared experiences. However, these tools couldn’t keep pace with the company’s growth or provide useful real-time information.
“We tried many tools, but none gave us the proximity, flexibility, and development potential that Odoo offered.”

They also explored alternatives like Zoho, Microsoft Project, and Monday, but none met their specific needs or offered an integrated experience.
A new era of efficiency:
The Odoo's impact

CRP’s journey with Odoo began between 2019 and 2020, when the lab director suggested exploring the platform. After testing it with free licenses and a personalized demo, the team decided to proceed with implementation in 2021, achieving a consolidated operation by 2022.
Since then, CRP has implemented and prioritized several Odoo modules, with Sales, Project, and Planning standing out for their impact, in addition to the CRM, whose implementation began in 2025.
- With the Project module, CRP gained real-time visibility into the status of its operations, enabling better decision-making during weekly planning meetings and monthly strategic committees. This made it easier to schedule new activities, reassign resources, and anticipate bottlenecks, improving billing and goal fulfillment.
- In terms of efficiency, the impact of Sales has been measurable. For example, manually creating a quote used to take up to eight hours using Excel and Word templates. With Odoo, the team can generate the same quote in just 30 minutes, thanks to the parameterization of clients, products, and services.
- Additionally, the total cycle time for this process, from the client’s request to proposal delivery, dropped from an average of five days to just two. This change has been key, considering CRP manages over 100 projects a year.
- Furthermore, since September 2024, CRP has incorporated the Planning module, focusing on allocating hours for its team of consultants. This has allowed the company to precisely measure time spent per project and assess the need for additional human or technical resources.
- In 2025, the company began implementing CRM to gather key information before each sale and has plans to include modules such as Inventory, Maintenance, and Helpdesk to manage over 350 tech devices in constant rotation.
"We’ve gone from searching for data to acting on it. The information is now ready, available, and focused on what matters most: making decisions on time.”

Towards a Smarter Operation

CRP aims to solidify its position as the leading occupational hygiene company in Latin America. Its five-year strategic plan includes innovation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to deliver real-time results to clients and eliminate report delivery delays.
The company also plans to strengthen its presence in the Caribbean region and Valle del Cauca, where it already operates one of its youngest regional branches. On the digital front, its vision is to integrate its entire operation, including fieldwork, into the Odoo ecosystem by developing its own app that centralizes both management and real-time data capture.
CRP found in Odoo a powerful, adaptable, and strategic platform. If your organization is looking to improve operational efficiency, make data-driven decisions, and grow sustainably, Odoo could be the technological ally you’ve been looking for.
