We are selling Zebra Technology TC52 Mobile computer, and we wanted to know whether this model will work with Odoo stock Barcode Module. Can you confirm?

Hello James,

as Zebra partner we can recommend you Zebra MC40, Zebra 51 or Zebra 55, MC3300 or Zebra TC8000. You can find all of them here - https://www.zebra.com/us/en/products/mobile-computers

We have tested all of them. Scanners worked fine with Odoo Enterprise (only) and Odoo barcode module (Enterprise only). However, the screens of mobile computers are rather small and even with the enterprise version of Odoo (with responsive design) is not useful for industry use. It's OK for small warehouses where the speed of picking does not play a key role. You have to use at least 7" devices + connect external scanners (Wired or Bluetooth) in case of using Odoo Enterprise. And it's not very useful.

*From the other hand you can try Ventor (mERP Warehouse) app that works with all Zebra devices (Android based). The app connects to Odoo Community and Enterprise (Odoo 8/9/10 and 11), has adapted screen and buttons and provide even more inventory features and user experience.

I've got the Zebra TC20. Unfortunately the scanner doesn't work with Odoo, the barcode app doesn't respond at all.

I contacted Odoo support. They told me they're currently working on native device support for 'a' next version of the app. They couldn't share a date.

Also other android versions aren't compatible. I use a regular tablet with an external BT scanner. Odoo isn't fully compatible with this setup either.

Hello Vitalij,

do you have experience with the TC20 Scanner? It unfortunately doesn't work with odoo' barcode app, it only scans data into text fields.

Actually now Ventor app supports all devices from Zebra. Working on Odoo 8, 9, 10 and 11 (Community and Enterprise).
