Hi,
Go to Accounting > Assets > Create and fill in asset details.
Set Asset Name, Original Value, and Acquisition Date.
Choose or create an Asset Category with the correct depreciation method.
Enter the total useful life (e.g., 5 years).
If depreciation has already been done in QuickBooks:
Option A: Enter the full asset value and manually add past depreciation lines for previous years in the Depreciation Board.
Option B: Set the net book value (remaining value) and adjust the start date and depreciation period to continue depreciation from now.
Confirm the asset and click Compute Depreciation.
Post each depreciation line manually or set to auto-post.
Optionally, enter a journal entry for historical depreciation (debit accumulated depreciation, credit depreciation expense) for accounting accuracy.
If importing many assets, use the asset import template from Odoo with fields like name, value, acquisition date, depreciation method, and posted value.

Hope it helps.
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, the only thing I could not adjust is that Odoo will post in 2024 the depreciation from previous years (2020-2023). How can I avoid that? Do I let the system post it and delete the journals later? Thank you again for the help.
